New 5.8” WXGA TFT with Optical Bonded PCAP Touch Screen

Kyocera’s in-house optical bonding technology eliminates the air gap found in standard perimeter tape mounting. It reduces internal reflection dramatically enhancing front-of-screen performance in contrast, clarity, and colour saturation while improving shock resistance.

The base TFT display is 1280 x 768 pixels, 800 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 contrast, with a wide 85°viewing-angle, both horizontal and vertical. The backlight is rated at 50,000 hours.

The projected capacitive touch screen allows for 5 touch points. The controller is included with USB or I2C interface. In-house integration ensures performance and maintains Kyocera’s LCD warranty.
