Effective today, Brian Hermiston will be stepping back as general manager of the Fenestra Purchasing Co-operative. He has served as the only GM since the co-op's inception in 2011. Hermiston will remain to complete supplier partner negotiations for the next year.

It all kind of came together with a little bit of luck and lots of elbow grease including the usual amazing organizing work by the FenMan Executive Director, Nancy Zubriski. Blue skies throughout, perfect temperature, little or no wind, well manicured greed St Boniface golf course, larger turnout than 2017, a dinner with excellent food, great support by the supply industry AND a recognition of Aurele Robin as Builder of the Fenestration Manitoba organization!

Canadian municipalities issued $8.2 billion worth of building permits in July, down 0.1% from June. The decrease was mainly attributable to lower construction intentions in British Columbia.

The primary role here at EVW is to build beautiful windows and doors. We're also known to be expressive in blogs, articles and social media. This model has worked well because they compliment each other so effectively. We were once warned to not put ourselves out there so much, because it could heighten expectations, and perhaps, we couldn't meet those expectations. I couldn't agree with that.

A breakfast networking gathering organized by Cam Drew of Thermoproof and Fenestration Manitoba achieved some level of expected success as about 20 to 25 people showed up despite some trouble with the hosting restaurant.
