GreenON cancelled

The GreenON rebate program has been cancelled, according to the program's website. GreenON's sudden launch made waves last December by promising buyers of replacement windows up to $5,000 in rebates when they purchased Energy Star Most Efficient windows from WindowWise-accredited dealers.

NRCan roadmap for high-efficiency windows released

Natural Resources Canada has released its Roadmap outlining its recommendations to push the Canadian fenestration market to deploy more energy-efficient products over the next 20 years.

P.H. Tech acquired by private equity

BDG & Partners, a privately held Canadian fund, with its head office in Montreal, and Caroline Dallaire, have announced acquisition of P . H . Tech and its subsidiaries as of August 1, 2018.

Rehau closes Winnipeg plant

REHAU has announced plans to adjust its window solutions division in Canada and the United States. As a result, REHAU will close its manufacturing plant in Winnipeg, Manitoba by the end of 2018.

Energi Fenestration Solutions names new CEO

OpenGate Capital has announced in a joint statement with its portfolio company, Energi Fenestration Solutions, Ltd. (“Energi”), a Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada headquartered manufacturer of rigid and cellular vinyl window profiles and patio doors and other extruded vinyl products that Energi has appointed Mr. Christopher Koscho as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Masonite acquires Assa Abloy's wood door business

Masonite International Corporation has announced that it has completed the acquisition of the operating assets of the wood door companies of AADG, Inc., part of ASSA ABLOY, which includes the brands Graham Manufacturing Corporation and The Maiman Company.

All Weather Windows sells Ontario manufacturing assets

All Weather Windows has announced it concluded the sale of its Ontario operations and most of its assets to Ventana Windows & Doors on January 31.

Fenestration Canada appoints new executive director

Mrs. Jennifer Small, President of Fenestration Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Stéphane Labelle as Executive Director.

Hermiston steps back, Kogovsek in as GM of Fenestra

Brian Hermiston will be stepping back as general manager of the Fenestra Purchasing Co-operative. He has served as the only GM since the co-op's inception in 2011.
