REHAU suspends operations in Russia

REHAU has seen the development of the crisis and the suffering of the people in Ukraine with shock and great concern. We have decided to suspend our operations in Russia and Belarus until further notice.


Alberta passes prompt payment law

Alberta has amended its Builders’ Lien Act to include a 28-day period for project owners to pay general contractors and a seven-day period for contractors to pay subcontractors once they are paid. It also puts in place an adjudication process allowing payment disputes to be resolved more quickly than through courts.


Value of building permits falls in January: StatsCan

The total value of building permits decreased 8.8% to $10.1 billion in January. The residential sector fell 11.6% to $6.7 billion, while the non-residential sector declined 2.7% to $3.4 billion.
