Merchant Services or Electronic Payment Processing (EPP) cover the hardware, software, services, and processes that businesses use to accept credit or debit card payments from their customers.
The components of EPP costs are markup fees, interchange fees, communication fees, dues and assessments - most of which are determined by credit card companies and are not negotiable.
