Carrol to lead Everlast Sudbury location

Everlast Group of Companies has announced the addition of Lance Carroll to its team as branch manager for its new Sudbury Design Centre. Carrol was born and raised in Sudbury with a decade of experience in the construction and building materials industry in north and northwestern Ontario. He started with roofing and siding then shifted focus to windows and doors in his three years with Gentek.


FGIA recognizes industry leaders

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance recognized the contributions and achievements of its members and congratulated winners at the Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception at the end of the second day of the 2025 FGIA Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. Awards were presented primarily by the previous year’s winners, who recognized recipients for their many efforts toward progressing the work of the association and the industry overall in 2024. Residential permits slide in November: StatCan

The total value of building permits issued in Canada decreased by $739.5 million (down 5.9 percent) to $11.7 billion in November, a second consecutive monthly decline, according to Statistics Canada. The residential sector led the decrease, followed by the non-residential sector. On a constant dollar basis (2017=100), the total value of building permits issued in November declined 5.8 percent from the previous month and was up 2.1 percent on a year-over-year basis.
