Winnipeg Fire Department has taken delivery of an E-ONE HP 100 Platform. Features of the truck include an E-ONE Cyclone II Medium Cab with 58” CA, Cummins X12 500HP engine, 100’ extruded aluminum platform with a 2.5 to 1 safety structural factor, Hale QMAX 8000 LPM pump, SideStacker hosebed and tandem rear axle. Its criss-cross underslung jack spread is only 15’6”.
Winnipeg has also taken advantage of E-ONE’s clean cab concepts by using vinyl seats inside the cab, making the interior easy to clean and wipe down. All firefighting tools and SCBA are stored in exterior compartments outside the cab, helping to reduce firefighter exposure to carcinogens.
This new platform is joining five frontline E-ONE aerials in Winnipeg’s fleet. This platform is located at Station 1, the department’s largest station, located in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg. With an estimated 4,000 runs a year, it’s expected to be one of the department’s busiest aerials.
