Maintaining and Developing Competency

The Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI) is committed to the continuing education of your fire department members. We recognize that planning and organizing training during these unusual times can be difficult. FESTI is continuing to offer online training and is working on the development of new courses.

Our online library has distance learning and virtual training courses. Our distance learning options include NFPA 1001 which has updated modules that can be used as training or a refresher, as well as, Hazardous Materials Awareness. Our NFPA 1041 Level I course modules are augmented by virtual training sessions with one of our instructors. We have recently completed our Confined Space Emergency Services Rescue course. This four-day course is designed to teach basic rescue skills and prepare responders to deal with typical confined space emergencies. This course was recently delivered to students and it prepared them to respond to these unique scenes and hazards.
