Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department has taken delivery of two E-ONE Custom Typhoon Pumpers. Features of the two trucks include an E-ONE Typhoon X long cab with 67.5" CA, Cummins L9 450 HP engine, Waterous CSU 8000 LPM single stage pump and 850 gallon water tank.
One of the top features of these trucks is the FoamPro Accumax 3060 direct injection foam system with multiple lines. This allows the department to flow multiple volumes of foam at different levels of concentrate through different discharges on the truck at the same time. It also features a Pump Boss pressure governor which controls the whole system. On top is an Akron DeckMaster 1250 gpm monitor with remote control for hands-free operation.
Also notable is the trucks’ visual identity, which features the Battenburg design scheme, a pattern of high visibility marking on both sides of each vehicle. The red and yellow patterns increase the trucks’ visibility and recognition throughout the community it serves.
