TRAINING EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WITH VIRTUAL REALITY
|
|
Firefighters benefit from experiencing incidents in a safe, controllable, repeatable, and measurable environment. XVR Simulation software allows participants to understand concepts and learning objectives by experiencing them. The participant acquires practical knowledge and can practice decision-making skills in situations that rarely occur in real life.
XVR offers a virtual training environment in which you have unparalleled freedom to create and train any scenario imaginable. After building a scenario, the participant is guided through the learning objectives by the instructor. This way, both simple incidents and large-scale crisis situations can be experienced in a safe and controlled environment.
Train and exercise an unlimited amount of virtual scenarios based on your local situation. Profit from a global community that shares scenarios and best practices with one another, and learn how they utilise the number one virtual reality training platform for emergency responders in the world. Get in touch with us via the FutureShield Inc website and learn more about our solutions.

XVR On Scene Expo provides you with an immersive and interactive 3D world to simulate all sorts of incidents. Create a virtual scenario in XVR On Scene and export the scene to use for training preparation or as a course refresher for your staff to access at their leisure. This means your training can grow exponentially, and the effectiveness of your training efforts will increase even further.Instructors can prepare scenes and assignments for their training participants to complete individually ahead of a training or exercise, or before going on assignment in the field. Participants will be able to navigate around a scene using the instructor-determined viewpoints, as well as access hotspots which can include further information about e.g. procedures or the incident taking place, or it can prompt a multiple-choice question. Expo scenes and assignments are entirely self-led and can be completed from anywhere, at any time, using a tablet or laptop.

Thomas Patrick, Station manager of the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service is a long-time user of XVR Simulation software. He explains what advantages the software has given him, and how his trainingeffort is much more efficient:
"Training with XVR allows us in Lincolnshire to create real life scenarios making it easier to train lots of people, whilst reducing the costs and maximising our resources. XVR is easier to transport around our large county, its simple to set up and you can work through numerous scenarios in a condensed period of time"
With XVR you can train and develop more people at the same time because of the ease of set up. Moreover rather than just having to use our training site, because XVR can be mobile we can travel the county taking the training or assessments to our staff, our training site is a large area that naturally can’t be lifted so to be mobile is ideal.
