Former Cape Breton firefighters to enter pleas in November

Two former Cape Breton firefighters, facing multiple arson charges, are to return to provincial court in November to enter pleas. Stephen Tremblett is charged with 13 counts of arson while James MacDonald is facing 16. >> Read full article

Nova Scotia services review to be released next month

A review of provincial fire services is to be made public in November. Members of the steering commitee consisting of members from the Fire Services Association of Nova Scotia, the Association of Municipal Administrators and the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities met with Pomas, the consultant hired by the Department of Municipal Affairs, to conduct the review. >> Read full article
