Red Deer firefighter receives bravery award

A firefighter was honoured with the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta's Award for Bravery earlier this month for his efforts to stop an intoxicated driver behind the wheel of a school bus in June.


Crews discover carbon monoxide in Calgary kitchen

Firefighters were called to a building in southeast Calgary following reports about a natural gas odour. Crews arrived at the mixed commercial and residential building Monday afternoon, where they discovered dangerous levels of carbon monoxide.


Toronto firefighters find body in burning vehicle

Toronto Fire Services have confirmed a body was located inside a burning vehicle in the city’s west-end early Tuesday morning, Global News reports.
