TECGEN71 Outer Shell is Breaking Records Yet Again

Statistics show that heat stress is a greater health threat to firefighters than the chance of being burned. To address this growing concern among first responders, Fire-Dex introduced TECGEN71, their exclusive outer shell in July of 2017. Its unique composition displays the lightest, thinnest, most flexible and highest THL composites ever seen in the history of turnout gear – without sacrificing TPP. Now available with two new thermal liners, TECGEN71 is once again breaking records with turnout gear that is 4lbs lighter than traditional turnouts!

Inside The Inferno

In May 2016, what began as a remote forest fire quickly became a nightmare for the ninety thousand residents of Fort McMurray. A perfect combination of weather, geography and circumstance created a raging wildfire that devoured everything in its path. Winds drove the flames towards the town, forcing the entire population to evacuate. As the fire swept through neighbourhoods, it fell to the men and women of the fire department to protect the city.
