Terrace, B.C., firefighters concerned about understaffing

In the latest episode of Fire Fighting in Canada This Week: Unionized firefighters say the Terrace, B.C., fire department is understaffed and they’re concerned it won’t be able to maintain a safe and effective response to calls. Then the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) is applauding the provincial government for introducing legislation that will allow full-time firefighters to volunteer as firefighters in their communities, and the latest issue of FFIC hits shelves soon. Our cover story: Jeremy Inglis, deputy fire chief at the Fort Erie Fire Department in Ontario, is working with other emergency services to raise awareness of human trafficking in Canada.
