Former fire chief files suit against City of Vernon

Vernon, B.C.’s former fire chief has filed a lawsuit against the City alleging it terminated him without cause or notice and didn’t offer to accommodate his disability.


Jon Pegg named new Ontario Fire Marshal

Jon Pegg is the new fire marshal for the Province of Ontario. He started the job Feb. 20 and replaces Ross Nichols. Pegg has been chief of emergency management for the Province of Ontario for the past eight months.
