Ontario funds new urban search and rescue teams

North Bay, Ottawa, Peterborough, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Windsor will split $2.5-million provincial dollars to establish a variety of new specialty emergency response teams.


Teslin, Yukon receives money for new fire hall

The Village of Teslin, Yukon, is getting millions of dollars for a new fire hall and other projects. These include energy retrofits to make buildings more energy efficient, and a new public works storage facility.


Lethbridge County fire departments receive funding for new radio systems

Bad reception and outdated radio equipment will now be a thing of the past for five urban fire departments in southern Alberta, thanks to new funding from Lethbridge County.
