Students design flying emergency rescue vehicle concept

A team of students at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) have developed the concept for Skywalker, an aerial emergency rescue operation vehicle.


Chetwynd, B.C., appoints new fire chief

The district of Chetwynd, B.C., has announced Curtis Redpath as the new Fire Chief. Redpath replaces former Fire Chief Leo Sabulsky, who passed away in July.


Firefighter Career Expo and Training Day set for Sept. 28

Canadian Firefighter magazine will host its Training Day and Career Expo at the Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI) in Mississauga, Ont., on Sept. 28. Career Expo, sponsored by FESTI, is a full day of sessions, networks and vendors tailored for recruits looking to get hired or for those considering becoming a firefighter.
