Halifax Fire making progress improving response times in rural area

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency says it is making good progress in improving response times for rural area fires. In January, Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency implemented a new supplementary response protocol that effectively sent full time firefighters from 24-hour stations to help volunteer firefighters in close areas.


Parksville Qualicum Beach area has new regional training building for firefighters

The fire departments for Qualicum Beach, Dashwood and Coombs-Hillers in British Columbia have now completed their joint regional training building project.


New Elizabethtown-Kitley fire hall gets green light

Elizabethtown-Kitley, Ont., Fire Station 3, the municipality’s priority project years in the making, is just days away from getting started as council has officially given it the green light.
