Hamilton budgeting $31.7M for ‘next-generation’ 911 service

In Ontario, the city of Hamilton is planning a $31.7-million overhaul of Hamilton buildings to make the leap from analogue to “next-generation” 911 service. Emergency services aim to have the revamped dispatching system operational by March 2024 to accommodate the federally mandated modernization plan.
