Northwest Territories gets a new fire marshal

Craig Halifax, a former Yellowknife firefighter, took on the role of fire marshal a month ago. He was born and raised in the N.W.T., joining Yellowknife’s fire hall in 1999, and returns to the territory having spent the past 14 years in Alberta. He served for almost a decade as the fire chief in Kananaskis, west of Calgary.

In Alberta, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services members can review their response to a cardiac arrest call just hours after an event using CaseReview. The service has been using the software since 2020, which records and replays serious events.
