Dispatch agreement sees reduced lifesaving response times in Markham

Markham Fire & Emergency Services (MFES) has decreased its “call to customer” time to 60 seconds and improved its responsiveness through a dispatch service agreement between MFES and Barrie Fire & Emergency Service (BFES).

$17.92 million for infrastructure projects, fire halls and municipalities in New Brunswick

The provincial and federal governments have announced $17.92 million for infrastructure projects, fire departments and municipalities with increased populations due to local governance reform that took effect Jan. 1.

Another $5.5M requested in Abbotsford budget for fire and police services

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) is asking the city for $1.5 million more in its budget for 2023, while the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) is requesting a $4 million increase over 2022.
