Maple Leaf to shut down Ontario poultry plant

Maple Leaf Foods plans to pursue further optimization opportunities in its poultry network. The move includes shifting volumes currently processed at the Schomberg, Ont.,plant to the under-construction London facility by the end of 2023. Once the transition is completed, the Schomberg plant will be shut down.
