The brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) is an invasive agricultural and household pest with a voracious appetite. Attracted to a wide variety of crops, including fruit and vegetables, this East Asian pest has the potential to cause extensive damage across North America. First identified in Canada in 2010, BMSB has established populations in multiple locations across southern Ontario. Don't let it take a bite out of your crop investment. Learn more about the pest and the steps being taken to control it during this special webinar featuring two of Ontario's top insect experts.

Hannah Fraser’s presentation will focus on the status of BMSB in Ontario, as well as methods to monitor and manage the pest, based on the best available information currently available.

Cynthia Scott-Dupree will discuss her work evaluating the efficacy of alternative insecticides on BMSB nymphs and identifying pest management options for BMSB.
