Ontario greenhouse growers support calls for independent workplace oversight authority

Amid stories of reprisals for farm workers speaking out against employers, the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers are publicly supporting calls to create an independent body to address workplace complaints from agri-food employees.


Ontario provides support to offset losses from cancelled fall fairs and exhibitions

For 2020 only, nearly $1 million will be made available to all qualifying agricultural and horticultural societies to help ensure operations and offset the financial losses because of the cancellation of fall fairs.


New shorter production cycle propagation trays available

Grape vine propagators can now benefit from shorter production cycles without sacrificing quality when using Vineland Research and Innovation Centre’s RootSmart propagation tray.
