B.C. farmers now have access to $4.9-million through Emergency On-Farm Support Fund

B.C. farmers can apply for 50/50 cost-sharing up to $100,000 to help reimburse costs associated with improving working conditions or, to invest in future infrastructure projects. Deadline to apply is November 17.


Emergency On-Farm Support Fund opens for Nova Scotia farmers

Nova Scotia farmers can receive cost-sharing support for farm worker safety improvements, up to 75 per cent of eligible project costs for a maximum of $50,000. Deadline to apply is December 31.


Arctic Apples conclude 2020 with largest harvest to date

Okanagan Specialty Fruits, developer and grower behind the Arctic apple, announced its largest Arctic apple harvest to date. Arctic apples use the apple’s own genes to “turn off” the enzyme responsible for making apples turn brown when cut or bruised.
