OFVGA and OMAFRA create updated COVID-19 resources

Ontario is providing up to $118,500 to OFVGA to develop specialized COVID-19 resources to better protect the health and safety of temporary foreign workers and others employed in the agri-food sector.


CPMA launches virtual Fresh Week in April

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) has opened registration for their spring 2021 event, Fresh Week. This free event, running from April 12 to 16, is said to be designed with the entire supply chain in mind.


BASF fungicide registered for apples and blueberries

Merivon fungicide uses two active ingredients, fluxapyroxad and pyraclostrobin, to address diseases like black rot and bitter rot in apples, and Septoria leaf spot and botrytis grey mold in blueberries.
