There are so many treatment systems available for water quality. How does each of them work, and what are their advantages and disadvantages?
Shalin Khosla is the greenhouse vegetable specialist working with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in Harrow. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a M.Sc. in horticulture with plant nutrition as his key area of focus.
He has worked with the greenhouse vegetable sector since 1981, the first 10 years with the University of Guelph before joining OMAFRA in 1991.
Shalin has worked with growers on all aspects of greenhouse production with emphasis on improving efficiencies through improved greenhouse climate management, root zone management, water management, recycling nutrient solutions and nutrient solution disinfection systems, and energy issues.
