Renown speaker Dr. Youbin Zheng, Professor (Horticulture & Environment), School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph, will be presenting on lighting in greenhouse ornamental production at Greenhouse Canada’s Grower Day taking place on June 20 at the Holiday Inn & Conference in St. Catharines, Ont.

In this talk, Dr. Zheng will discuss:

1) The current developments of horticultural lighting technologies to help growers in choosing lighting for their greenhouse operations;

2) How to use light (e.g., type of light, light quality, intensity and photoperiod) in greenhouse ornamental plant propagation and production based on recent research findings, especially new findings from their own research group.
