Ontario invests in ag. growth through production and efficiency

The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $25 million with the goal of helping to expand production capacity and boost energy efficiency in the agriculture and food sector. Funding will be provided to eligible farm and food processing businesses to help them invest in technology, equipment or processes that will expand production capacity or enhance efficiency.


Lakehead University to receive $1.65M in research funding

The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $1.65 million over five years to support research programming, knowledge transfer and the operations and management of the Lakehead University Agricultural Research Station (LUARS).


Olds College launches new indoor agriculture certificate

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology is launching its Indoor Agriculture Certificate program, the first of its kind offered in Canada. Designed to meet the surging demand for skilled professionals in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) sector, this four month program will equip students with the knowledge and hands-on experience for a fulfilling career in controlled environment agriculture, addressing the growing demand for sustainable and high-tech farming methods.
