Government of Canada becomes a founding member of the Efficient Fertilizer Consortium

Created by the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research, the EFC is a public-private partnership that funds research to advance enhanced efficiency and novel fertilizer products and practices. This partnership represents a commitment of approximately $1.3 million CAD over four years from the Government of Canada.

The University of Guelph (U of G) and University of the Fraser Valley have launched a new partnership aimed at advancing new pathways for sustainable innovation within Canada’s $140-billion food and agriculture industry.

Agri-Tech Innovation Initiative intake opening soon

OMAFRA's Agri-Tech Innovation Initiative intake opens Feb. 15th 2024 and closes March 28th 2024 at 11:00 am. With $25M in funding to support growth and productivity for producers and processors, the Initiative will be delivered under three funding streams. Across the streams, cost-share funding ranges from 35 to 50 per cent of total eligible project costs.
