Learn about NACC efforts to improve the bid process

At Top Glass on April 17 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., attendees will have a chance to meet and hear from North American Contractor Certification and the Architectural Glass and Metal Technician program. These initiatives seek to certify glazing contractors and glaziers, giving project stakeholders confidence that the people they hire have the expertise and commitment to safety and best practices they demand. How?

  • NACC-certified contractors have to meet a set of rigorous standards for quality control, financial solvency and safety. Their conformity is ensured with regular audits – most businesses do not qualify right away.
  • AGMT offers courses for experienced glaziers to update their knowledge, then tests them with full-day physical and written exams developed by industry experts. Certifications expire and must be updated regularly.
  • NACC and AGMT are ANSI-accredited, which means stakeholders can be assured of their independence and fairness.
  • Both programs are focused on the architectural glass construction industry.
This industry needs a way to identify those companies and individuals committed to excellence. The NACC and AGMT could be a step in that direction. To learn more, see you at Top Glass!
