Chad Hoffman has been promoted to the role of president of Wausau Window and Wall Systems. He also will have responsibility for Toronto-based Sotawall Limited. Both companies are a part of Apogee Enterprises.

AAMA and IGMA form Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) have officially combined into one organization with the new name, Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA).

Technoform associates earn NFRC Simulator certification

Technoform‘s Gabriel Louthan recently completed training and successfully passed testing for the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Certified Simulator program becoming the third certified simulator along with Stephen Aki and Bart Hensley.

IGMA to release new publication

The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) has announced the pending release of a new publication, IGMA Quality Forms for the Fabrication of Insulating Glass Units to the ISO 9001:2015, as well as the release of a revised document, TM-4500-16(19), IGMA Quality Manual for the Fabrication of Insulating Glass Units to the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard.

StatsCan building permits report Oct. 2019

The total value of building permits issued by Canadian municipalities decreased 1.5% to $8.3 billion in October. Declines were reported in five provinces, with the largest decrease in British Columbia (-21.2% to $1.3 billion). » Read more
