FGIA names three new board members

Three new board members joined the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Board of Directors during the 2024 Fall Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. FGIA welcomes Scott Corley (ODL), Chris Giovannielli (Kawneer Company) and Stacha Reed (Andersen Corporation) to the Board.

Having spoken the better part of the past two years about bird-friendly glass solutions at conferences and in offices throughout Canda and the United States, I thought it important I share with you my experiences witnessing the aftermath of bird collisions, so you know it’s not all about selling glass.


Cook makes key points about embodied carbon at WinDoor

Juliette Cook of Half Climate Design took the stage at WinDoor to discuss the impact of glass and aluminum on the embodied carbon of building projects. While the news is not good, Cook does an excellent job of avoiding the “your products are the devil” tone that other architects can adopt.


Heard at GlassBuild

The largest glass, window and door expo in the western hemisphere made its debut in Dallas for three days starting Sept. 30. With a new host city, venue and the largest show floor of any GlassBuild America in history, this year’s GBA hit different.
