Natasha Callender-Wilson has been named CEO of Bass Installation, a Mississauga, Ont.,-based glazing contractor. Her previous title was vice-president. Callender-Wilson has been at Bass almost since its inception in 2003. Her previous experience included working for an electrical contractor and a large Mississauga developer where she learned about other specialty trades and the role of the general contractor in major projects.

Believe it or not, the federal government did table a fall economic statement on Dec. 16 amidst all the hoopla over Chrystia Freeland resigning. Here are some highlights of interest to us. Progress on building more homes. Much of this is not new and represents a recommitment to measures introduced in the 2024 budget. Building and repairing homes across the country through the $55 billion Apartment Construction Loan Program and the $15 billion Affordable Housing Fund. Providing at least $100 million in low-cost financing to help build homes on top of existing businesses and retailers.

I had just started working at Fulton Windows in August, 1979 and during my first week on the job the first salesperson that ever called on me was Ennio Rea. Ennio was a rookie salesman at Temp Glass then. I didn’t know much or anything about tempered glass at the time and I remember Ennio enthusiastically telling me about the process and how it made the glass stronger. Ennio struck me as being especially exuberant.

What makes Daubmann unique is his thunderous presence on social media, running accounts with around 30,000 followers and hosting a weekly YouTube show, Hard Hat Highlights. He claims he has never had a guest on his show that didn’t become a client shortly after.
