HEXO CEO leaves company amid reorganization

Hexo Corp. says Sebastien St-Louis, the cannabis company’s co-founder and chief executive, is leaving the company, effective immediately. Dr. Michael Munzar, chair of Hexo’s board, said in a statement that the board has established a special committee for succession to identify a new CEO.


Rapper Drake invests in new cannabis brand

Drake has invested in a Toronto cannabis company months after his partnership ended with Canopy Growth Corp. Bullrider announced the rapper’s involvement in the pot company but did not share the size of his investment.


Canopy Growth eyes US market with deal to buy Wana Brands

The Smiths Falls, Ont. cannabis company announced that it had reached an agreement to buy Boulder, Colo.-based Wana Brands, but only if tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) becomes federally permissible in the U.S.
