The town of Saint Lawrence is located on the Burin Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. The local economy includes fishing and mining. Interestingly, this town is also known as the Soccer Capital of Canada!
This remote town of 1200 inhabitants is surrounded by the North Atlantic and travel to and from everywhere can be unreliable, slow and frustrating.
When it comes to servicing equipment in these far-flung towns, longevity and reliability are of major importance simply because the cost and hassle of replacing something can be very expensive and time-consuming.
In the case of St Lawrence, the potable water supply for the town comes from underground wells.
