Canadian Forces Base Comox, known as 19 Wing, will conduct precautionary ground water testing on properties near the base over several months. The base's environmental monitoring program has identified perfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) – attributed to firefighting foam – in soil and ground water at the base and in Scales Creek.
