A Hollywood Producer's Journey to Protect Wild Salmon

A Hollywood Producer's Journey to Protect Wild Salmon

Emmy award-winning writer and producer, David E. Kelley, is known for his long list of successful television shows, including Big Little Lies, The Practice, L.A. Law, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, and many more. He is also a passionate conservationist who is driven to protect our iconic wild salmon and trout populations. Recognizing the important role that responsible aquaculture can play in supporting a sustainable food supply and conserving wild fish populations, he invested in Riverence’s eight farms across Washington and Idaho. Kelley will join Dr. Jerry Schubel, president and CEO of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA, to discuss his efforts to support conservation by investing in responsible aquaculture. They will be joined by Dr. Halley Froehlich, assistant professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Kimberly Thompson, director of Seafood for the Future. The event will also feature a special recorded message from Chef Andrew Zimmern, four-time James Beard Award-winning chef and television personality.
