Ukraine sends state aid to hatcheries

The government in Ukraine has budgeted UAH10.5 million (US$370,000) to support fish stocking of the inland water bodies for the first time in more than seven years, the deputy Agricultural Minister Maksim Martinyuk has revealed.


Cargill's Einar Wathne to step down

Einar Wathne, seafood leader for Cargill Animal Nutrition, will leave Cargill effective Feb. 1, 2019. Since stepping down as leader for Cargill Aqua Nutrition five months ago, Wathne has spent time focusing on Cargill’s efforts to explore additional opportunities in the seafood value chain, the company stated in a release.
