Making the business case for international aquaculture certification

International certification can provide economic and operational advantages for aquaculture farms that manage to obtain certified status. This according to Peter Cook, aquaculture consultant and professor at the University of Western Australia, in his keynote presentation at Aquaculture 2019.


Industry optimism high at latest international aquaculture conference

The world's largest aquaculture conference and tradeshow held in New Orleans from March 7-11 revealed a robust aquaculture industry and widespread optimism among industry stakeholders, with a record number of 3,500 attendees, a 65-percent growth from the previous event held in 2016.


More income for brackish-water farming in Malaysia: study

Small-scale fish farmers in Malaysia earn 2.5 times more farming in brackish-water, compared to freshwater, according to a study in the Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities.
