Orkney Shellfish Hatchery releases 500 juvenile clawed lobsters

Orkney Shellfish Hatchery has released its first stock of 500 advanced land-raised European clawed lobster juveniles into the ocean, with help from expert divers from local diving school, Kraken Diving.


Kingfish announces milestone for new U.S.-based facility

The Kingfish Company has announced the conclusion of its purchase of land for its new facility in Jonesport, Maine, USA. The purchase of land follows the approval of the two final permits from the State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) in mid-November. The acquisition of these final permits enable Kingfish Maine to move forward in pre-construction design and engineering, on schedule.


Noni fruit extract for whiteleg shrimp post-larvae

Noni (M. citrifolia) fruit extract supplementation improved growth performance in whiteleg shrimp (P. vannamei) post-larvae, an experiment in Malaysia showed. A direct relationship was established between animal growth and concentration of noni fruit extract.
