Protix looks to expand insect feed focus with new appointments

Insect feed and food manufacturer, Protix, has announced two new senior appointments to keep up with “strong momentum for insect ingredients.”

Study says peracetic acid is safe and effective disinfectant for aquaculture

Results of a study on using peracetic acid (PAA) as disinfectant for gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) juvenile have positive implications in its use as a routine disinfectant in aquaculture. The study observed how seabream coped with oxidative stress induced by PAA.

Fish ladder to freedom

When Federal Fish and Wildlife opened the Coleman National Fish Hatchery on Sept. 25, 1942, it was a lifeline for local salmon and trout. The current fish ladder in Coleman was constructed in 2009 and is a vertical slot baffle fish ladder design.
