The government of Canada has awarded more than $850,000 (US$ 593,000) in funding to support scientific research activities on multinucleate sphere unknown X (MSX.) MSX was first detected in Canada in 2002 in the Bras d'Or Lakes area of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
