CSA Technical Subcommittee Survey Seeks Best Practices for Radiant Combo Systems
As combined space and water heating (combo) systems become more popular, there is a need to develop a standard test procedure that allows manufacturers and system integrators to assess and certify the performance and efficiency of these systems.
The CSA Technical Subcommittee on Efficiency of Combination Water Heating & Space Heating Systems (Combos) is working on the development of a new standard test method to determine the performance of radiant combo systems.
A survey is being conducted by the Natural Gas Technologies Centre (NGTC) to obtain input from various stakeholders. The main target audience for the survey is installers of radiant combo.
The survey includes questions related to:
• |
Relative popularity of each combo design
• |
Various control strategies used
• |
Typical design choices and operating conditions
• |
Testing approaches
A financial incentive from NGTC is available for the first 50 participants.
