Reducing Carbon Emissions and Operating Costs with Air-to-Water Heat Pumps

As Canada goes down the path to Net-Zero in our Buildings, we don’t need to look too far into the future to see the benefit of utilizing better combinations of technologies in our building designs. Air-to-Water Heat Pumps are an innovative technology that will be instrumental in contributing to meeting Canada’s climate change targets as we seek low-carbon alternatives to traditional hydronic heating systems utilizing fossil-fuels. Because the Canadian climate generally has colder winters and longer shoulder seasons, eliminating natural gas entirely from our energy mix or from our buildings is not practical in all cases. We can still take steps in the interim to mitigate its use as much as possible by implementing smart solutions into our designs, like dual fuel systems and heat recovery to get the best of both worlds. >> Register Now
