The Federal 2030 Emission Reduction Plan issued by the Government of Canada outlines an ambitious goal of reducing carbon emissions across the country by 40% (from 2005 levels) by 2030. The Plan introduces the Canada Green Buildings Strategy that will include new policy, programs, incentives, and standards to drive a massive retrofit of existing building stock, and new construction to zero-carbon standards.
