Standard Force Air Nozzles

EXAIR's standard force air nozzles range from the tiny Atto Super Air Nozzle at 2 oz of blowoff force to the 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle at 22 oz of blowoff force. They're ideal for focused dust removal or small area drying. Each nozzle is engineered to amplify compressed airflow by inducing surrounding airflow. Stock materials include brass, zinc/aluminum alloy, 303 stainless steel, and non-marring PEEK plastic.

A manufacturer makes band saw blades from strip stock. The stock is normalized, saw teeth are cut in and set then flame hardened and quenched. It then goes through a wash, is cut to length and welded. They were using a ring blower to dry the strip but it was not effective. Water was being left and interfered with the welding operation. Substituting the blower with two Model 1103 Mini Super Nozzles, they were able to effectively dry the strip and eliminate their welding problems.

High Force Air Nozzles

A manufacturer was using a bank of 36 old-style brass nozzles to remove excess preservative oil from metal as it is unrolled for further processing. The nozzles produced the desired result but consumed a lot of compressed air and were noisy. The manufacturer replaced the brass nozzles with EXAIR's Model HP1125 2" High Power Flat Super Air Nozzle. They were able to reduce compressed air consumption by 779.4 SCFM and noise by 20.8 dBA.

Back Blow Air Nozzles

EXAIR's Back Blow Air Nozzles are engineered to clean inside of pipe, tube, hose or channel. An array of holes provide a forceful 360 degree airflow to clear out coolant, chips or debris created from machining processes. This nozzle prevents blowing chips further into a pipe or out the end, which could create a safety hazard. Since airflow is directed back toward the operator, personal protective equipment is recommended. They deliver high performance suitable for a wide range of diameters from 1/4" up to 16"!

As part of their production process, a manufacturer cuts pipe into sections as it is extruded. To prevent cutting debris from remaining in the pipe and interfering with any other processes, they use a Model 1006SS 1/4 FNPT Stainless Steel Back Blow Air Nozzle to blow the debris back into the workstation for easy cleanup. This nozzle is effective on pipe diameters from 7/8" up to 4".

Super Air Scraper

EXAIR's 2" Super Air Scraper is a unique, highly efficient, corrosion resistant steel scraper used in conjunction with EXAIR's 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle. The compressed air boost makes this nozzle perfect for removal of caulk, sealant, adhesives, tape, paint, stickers, labels, grease, lubricant and difficult to sweep metal chips, flakes or discs, all with minimal air consumption and noise.

A machine shop uses an oil atomizer for a cutting operation at some of their workstations. At the end of the day, cleanup time was difficult because the area would be covered with oil coated metal chips and shavings that are hard to sweep. Now, they use a Model 1244-36-CS Soft Grip Super Air Scraper that combines the Super Air Scraper nozzle with a Soft Grip Safety Air Gun, a 36" extension pipe, and a polycarbonate Chip Shield. Their end of day cleanup time was cut in half!
