Multiprotocol Ethernet

Multiprotocol Ethernet

Turck offers a complete line of industrial Ethernet products, including on-machine, in-cabinet, block, and modular I/O. The multiprotocol technology by Turck is an innovative new approach to Ethernet distributed I/O; multiprotocol I/O devices automatically self-configure to the active fieldbus protocol on each power-up. Supported protocols include Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET

Ethernet Safety

Turck's TBIP and TBPN full safety block modules control safety applications directly from the field and thus simplify modular machinery

The robust block I/O modules TBPN for Profisafe and TBIP for CIP Safety provide safety input and output signals directly from the field to the safety controller. The modules can alternatively be used as decentralized safety controllers in the field. This function optimizes modular machinery and also applications in which long bus cycle times to the central controller would require greater safety distances.

Ethernet Communication for EX Areas

Ethernet Communication for EX Areas

Turck has opened the world of the process industry for digitalization and Industry 4.0 with the first Zone 2 Ethernet gateway for the excom I/O system. All process data can thus now for the first time reach IT systems for analysis and evaluation at sufficient speed via a parallel data channel – a fast and easy way of implementing condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. Controllers and control systems are protected here from access attempts. The new GEN-3G multiprotocol device operates at high data rates in Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP networks without the need for manual intervention.

What is IO-Link?

Most sensors and actuators today are already equipped with microprocessors, which can be used for parameterization, storing configuration data, and controlling indication. The obvious next step is to overcome the bottleneck of the binary standard interface and make additional functions centrally accessible for the automation system.

For this reason a lot of well-known manufacturers from the field of automation have come together and developed a fieldbus independent communication interface for sensors and actuators: IO-Link.

Compatibility with existing technologies was the primary objective during development in order to guarantee investment protection.

Technology

IO-Link is based on a point-to-point connection between the sensor/actuator and an interface module. Up to now, the binary connection was only designed for transferring switching information, but IO-Link now allows two bytes to be transferred normally in a 2 ms cycle via a combined switching status and data channel. Other information can be exchanged in addition to the process values, such as parameters or diagnostics messages. This enables communication with sensors and actuators down to the “last meter” to be established for universal communication.

IO-Link contributes to efficient processes, reduces machine costs, and improves machine availability.

Hot Spot Monitor

Grace Technologies

  • Better Maintenance Planning—Continuous temperature monitoring and alarming device of electrical equipment identifies electrical hot spots before failures and expensive shutdowns occur
  • Simple Field Installation—Non-conductive fiber probes securely piggy-back onto existing bolted connections and potential heat sources such as; busbars, breaker connections, bus ducts, transformers, or any other potential hot spots
  • Any Voltage—Non-conductive technology safely applied to any electrical system
  • Reduced Risk—Ability to monitor and retrieve temperature data of critical inaccessible connections and their associated alarms safely via GraceSense™ Web Utility Interface, EtherNet I/PTM, and MODBUS communication.

PROFINET IO encoders Sendix F58 as singleturn and multiturn variant

Kübler

Slip ring SRS250

Kübler presents its new generation of Industrial Ethernet encoders, which differ both technically and mechanically from existing fieldbus encoders. Thanks to the new technical platform, for example, the new Sendix F58 PROFINET IO encoders can also be easily integrated into PROFIdrive networks. The new generation also replaces the familiar fieldbus cover with the new design. This saves additional installation depth, which has a positive effect on the integration in systems / machines. The 58 mm size of the encoder, however, remains unaffected.
