EXAIR Offers a Nozzle for Every Need!

Instead of using an open compressed air pipe, a better, more economical solution is a compressed air nozzle that is specifically engineered to provide the cleaning, drying, and part rejection performance that you need. They efficiently use compressed air to produce outflows up to 25 times consumption! All EXAIR nozzles are within OSHA safe noise limits and cannot be dead-ended.

Standard Force Air Nozzles

EXAIR's standard force air nozzles range from the tiny Atto Super Air Nozzle at 2 oz of blowoff force to the 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle at 22 oz of blowoff force. They're ideal for focused dust removal or small area drying. Each nozzle is engineered to amplify compressed airflow by inducing surrounding airflow. Stock materials include brass, aluminum, zinc/aluminum alloy, 303 stainless steel, and non-marring PEEK plastic.

A manufacturer had 14 different workstations that used conventional air guns with rubber nozzles. The rubber tips didn't meet OSHA standards for either dead-end pressure or noise. They replaced 8 nozzles with EXAIR's Model 1109SS-NPT Pico Super Air Nozzle and the rest with the Model 1110SS-NPT Nano Super Air Nozzle. They not only removed the dead-ending danger, but also reduced compressed air consumption by 3,319.2 SCFM per day, and ambient noise levels by 15.2 dBA.

High Force Air Nozzles

EXAIR's high force air nozzles range from the 1" High Power Flat Super Air Nozzle at 1 pound of force all the way up to the Large Super Air Nozzle that can generate up to 23 pounds of blowoff force! These nozzles are great for large area dust removal, part drying, or part rejection. Available stock materials include brass, zinc/aluminum alloy, 303 stainless steel, and non-marring PEEK plastic.

A stamping facility has an application that requires a 0.187" thick aluminum plate to be moved across a 6" conveyor to align it for the next process. Their current plate pusher was a series of 4 open tubes that generated over 110 dBA in noise and consumed 91.2 SCFM. By replacing the open tubes with 2 Model HP1125 2" High Power Flat Super Air Nozzles, they were able to eliminate dead-ending and reduce compressed air consumption by 74 SCFM. The noise level was lowered by 27 dBA down to 83 dBA, which is below OSHA's maxiumum allowable noise exposure for an 8 hour day.

Flat Super Air Nozzles

EXAIR's 1" Flat Super Air Nozzles provide a powerful, flat stream of air with minimal air consumption and noise. Their small size allows them to be positioned in tight machine spaces. Air is released through a thin slot, across a flat surface to produce a wide, laminar sheet of air. Available in zinc/aluminum alloy or Type 316 stainless steel.

Like their smaller counterpart, EXAIR's 2" Flat Super Air Nozzles provide a powerful, flat stream of air that is wider while still using a small amount of compressed air and producing less noise. Their small, flat profile allows them to be easily positioned over applications. Air is released through a thin slot, across a flat surface to produce a wide, laminar sheet of air. Available in zinc/aluminum alloy or Type 316 stainless steel.

A greeting card company needed to create a wide stream of air in order to keep cardstock from bouncing off of the conveyor belt. Their past solution was to blow compressed air through a series of 40 plastic nozzles that were designed for water. Since they weren't optimized for this task, each nozzle used more air (7.1 SCFM) and produced more noise (65 dBA) than was necessary. The manufacturer replaced their nozzles with Model 1126 1" Flat Super Air Nozzles and realized a savings of 6.2 SCFM per nozzle and a total noise reduction of reduction of 23 dBA.

Super Air Scraper

The unique EXAIR 2" Super Air Scraper combines a highly efficient, corrosion resistant steel scraper with EXAIR's 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle. The compressed air boost makes this nozzle perfect for removal of caulk, sealant, adhesives, tape, paint, stickers, labels, grease, lubricant and difficult to sweep metal chips, flakes or discs, all with minimal air consumption and noise.

A machine shop uses an oil atomizer for cutting operations at some of their workstations. End-of-day cleanup time was difficult because the area would be covered with oil coated metal chips and shavings that are hard to sweep. Now, they use a Model 1244-36-CS Soft Grip Super Air Scraper that combines the Super Air Scraper nozzle with a Soft Grip Safety Air Gun, a 36" extension pipe, and a polycarbonate Chip Shield. Their end of day cleanup time was cut in half!
