Corrosive Environments No Match for Emerson Series 327 Universal Valve

An Oil refinery was experiencing unplanned downtime on a large and critical on/off valve. The fault was traced to a solenoid valve controlling the scotch yoke actuator. The valve failed because of a dirt build-up on the valve internals. The dirt had entered the valve due to its construction, which relied on a breather hole that was open to the atmosphere.
The customer replaced the valve with an ASCO Series 327 solenoid valve from Emerson. The non-breathing design restricts access of dirt or corrosive elements from the atmosphere, resulting in minimized downtime. Learn more about the Series 327 >
